Day Thirteen

Today was a day of testing (and battling my son to sleep, which I lost a good hour of dev time to 🥱). The hexagon fight is pretty much done - done enough for an alpha test at least! There were a few bugs to fix, but it was otherwise a smooth journey. I’ve managed to do it deathless a couple of times now, I just haven’t quite managed deathless while really playing for score. I think that puts it in a pretty good place for the third boss. I’ll leave the scoring to you guys.

The alpha test is live on Discord! Join the server (button at the top of the page) for info on how to get access.

There were a few issues with the new win screen, so I’ve disabled that for now and I’ll look at it later. Turns out an entirely new set of screens and animations need a little more time to cook!

What’s next?

I’ll be collecting feedback from the alpha test and fixing bugs/finishing the win screen for the beta test, which should happen this weekend. The danger nachos need a death animation - currently they just disappear, which can be a little distracting for the player…
