Day Eighty Seven

More pain today 😔 I have, at least, managed to update the Steam version and fix a few bigger issues.

We’re slowly getting there, this blog has been a huge help - I’ve not had a single day since it started where I didn’t force myself to open the project and do something, anything. Getting that first little bit of work done is the biggest hurdle, really, often once I get that done I find myself actively wanting to do more.

I am also writing a postmortem alongside this. There have been lots of successes, lots of failures, and a ton to learn - about myself, game dev, and game publishing 😂 it’s not my first game release, but it is my first solo game release and I have taken an awful lot for granted!

The other thing that I’ve started over the last few days is the Wayfarer Games Discord server transition to a more developer-focused one. All the channels are now set up, there is a Patreon in the works, and a whole section of the website dedicated to it. I’ve enjoyed writing, I’ll be doing a lot more of it in the future. Expect a ton of tutorials and general blog content post-Polyfury! I’m pretty excited about it all, though maybe that’s just excitment for something different… This game has been a tad draining!

What’s next?

Alpha will be coming soon, but the next few days are crunch time. By the end of the weekend, I want the Tetrapod done!
